Received a promo email with the following bonus: Receive 5000 bonus points for Amex Delta Gold Business cardholders after spending $2000 in the next 3ish months.
I wrote an article last week where I expressed interest in getting the new Amex Delta Platinum card. That’s the real comparison for me. Should I get a new card and earn 60k or keep this card and get 5k?
The spend is the same as Delta Plat…2k/3months
This bonus doesn’t really do anything for me because the spend requirement is the same as it is for the new Amex Delta Platinum card. However, the plat does incur a $195 annual fee so that’s worth considering when making a decision, and if I were to apply for the personal version it would appear on my credit report and go against the 5/24 rule. Those are both factors worth taking into consideration. Here’s the thing: if I were to apply for the Delta plat it would be the business version to replace the current delta card I have, and in theory that new business card shouldn’t be reflected on my personal credit inquiries and therefore against my 5/24.
If you’ve already had these cards and aren’t getting any good retention offers then this may be an easy way to get some bonus points.
