For just $69 you can buy Frontier Airlines Gold Status through December 2026 and you don’t even need status with another airline to match. You only need an account with the following airline loyalty programs: Southwest Rapid Rewards®, JetBlue TrueBlue®, Spirit Airlines Free Spirit®, or Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan™
Now, if you don’t have plans to fly Frontier in the next year and a half… this probably isn’t worth it. But, if you think there is even a slight chance, I think it is. You’re spending $69 to secure a carry on bag, seat selection, and priority boarding. You’d end up spending $69 to get those things on a single roundtrip anyways, so even if you fly with them once, you’ve recouped your investment.

I recently flew Frontier from Atlanta to Indianapolis and will continue to do so now that I’ll have Gold status through next December. I usually pop up for a quick wekeend trip and rarely am I checking a bag so this evens the playing field with Delta and Southwest on a quick flight. I don’t really care if it doesn’t have all the same amenities as a more premium carrier…
I went ahead and pulled the trigger
