AARP Benefits Badass $50k Contest

In 2021 I published a video on TikTok that went crazy viral highlighting the benefits of AARP membership. It ended up landing me a feature in the Wall Street Journal, over 150k new members for AARP, and ultimately a social media partnership with AARP. The biggest thing that shocked people was the fact that you could join AARP under 50 years of age. Personally, I’ve been a member for 9 years, used the membership for massive British Airways discounts and you’ll often find discounted gift cards, lower rental car prices, restaurant discounts, etc.

This all brings me to their new campaign that I am helping them promote called Benefits Badass whereby you could be the lucky winner of $50k. What do you need to do to enter? Let’s dig into it!

Step 1: Write, under 500 words, a few reasons why you like AARP, benefits you enjoy, etc.

Go here to start the process

After you register you’ll be asked to submit a quick, short, write up on AARP

Step 2: Post a quick video on socials by May 29th, 2023 at 11:59PM EST

You need to create a video explaining what AARP benefits you love most in a fun, creative way.

  • You don’t need to be a paying AARP member to enter
    • You DO Need to have a login at AARP.org
  • You must be 18 or older
  • Keep it under 2 minutes
  • Publish on YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, or Vimeo
    • Drop that link when you submit your application

Historically 80k is a very, very good offer and hit in both 2022 and 2023. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back.

Main Cast:

Cards that earn flexible points and should be used on the bulk of your purchases.

Supporting Cast:

Cards that earn fixed points in the currency of the airline/hotel and can not be transferred at attractive rates. These cards yield benefits that make it worth keeping, but not necessarily worth putting a lot of your everyday spend on.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® is exceptional starter card and offers transferrable Ultimate Rewards, and pairs well with other Chase cards.
