Admirals Club Boston Logan Review

I recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend in Boston. It was my first time and I immediately fell in love with the town. We were staying at the Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center, which I’d highly recommend, and found the location, people, food, and overall vibe of the city to be top notch. On the way out of the city we stopped by the the Admirals Club Boston in terminal B.

The Deets

  • When: August 2016
  • Where: Boston Logan Terminal B
  • Who can get in:
    1. Credit card holders
      • Citi Prestige
      • Citi Aadvantage Executive
    2. International biz and first class passengers on One World
    3. Transcon biz and first class passengers on AA
    4. One World Sapphire and Emerald elite members flying internationally or on a flight that is longer than 5 hours with a connection same day or before 6am the following day.

I used my Citi Prestige to gain entry and gave it a quick look around. We were a little tight on time and I wanted to see if they had anything special to eat before hopping on the flight back to LA. They didn’t really offer anything special so I took some pics and bounced.

Main seating area and bar

As you can see it was very crowded, but even with this many people it wouldn’t have been too crazily difficult to find a place to sit. The lounge isn’t very big and is starting to show some wear and tear, but is still a HUGE improvement over the wary looking Terminal B. If we had a longer layover we would have certainly stayed in the lounge vs hanging in the terminal as it’s in need of a facelift. I’m sure this lounge will be updated in the next few years as American is investing a lot of money modernizing their collection of clubs, but I’d guess Boston isn’t high on the priority list.

I was actually surprised that the lounge had showers.

I didn’t get a chance to duck in and photograph them, but I would imagine they are very similar to the showers in Chicago. The age of the lounge felt similar to the ORD one I visited earlier in the month. Pretty standard, but nice and clean.

Overall:

You’re definitely not going to be wowed by this lounge, but you will find it much nicer than the terminal. One can hardly complain when it’s a free perk of an awesome credit card, the Citi Prestige. This isn’t a lounge that I’d make a special concession to visit, but you should go in this lounge if you’re looking for: a cold drink and a little snack, a place with free wifi, or a spot to get a little work done. A word to the wise…leave the Yankee hat at home or brush up on your Judo 😉
