Currently, Alaska Airlines has one of the most generous carry on baggage size requirements, allowing passengers to bring on a bag sized: 10 x 17 x 24. That is changing on June 4th, but don’t panic. The odds are it won’t impact you at all. More than likely, your carry on bag is sized 9 x 14 x 22, as this is the typical restriction on most airlines, and will soon be Alaska’s. Double check the bag you use, especially if it’s older, as these new restrictions could affect you. If caught with a larger bag, you’ll be forced to check it rather than bring it on the plane.
Alaska breaks down the new size requirements:
For comparison:
- United: 9 x 14 x 22
- American: 9 x 14 x 22
- Delta: 9 x 14 x 22
