American Express just recently updated the Business Gold card to include a $20 a month “business merchant” credit that includes Grubhub. Remember that Amex Gold also includes a “dining credit” in which Grubhub is included. I’m currently sitting on 3 Business Gold cards alongside a Personal Amex Gold so I’m looking at $70 a month in potential Grubhub credits, and it got me thinking…I’ve never activated our free Grubhub+ membership via Amazon Prime.
So…I did just that, and set my calendar for a year to cancel.
What do you get with Grubhub+?
You can see below, but essentially it will knock down your total price by avoiding delivery fees, reducing service fees, and knocking 5% off pick up orders
Keep in mind that it’ll automatically start charging $9.99 a month after the 12 months free trial
Linking Grubhub to Amazon
It’s super easy – just click the button and login.
Recap
Amex has added additional credits to the American Express Business Gold and American Express Gold cards via credits that include Grubhub. In order to truly maximize these credits I’m opting in a for a year of Grubhub+ courtesy of Amazon Prime. I may even keep it after a year, charging the the fee to my Amex Gold which gets a $10/month dining credit and using my other credits alongside it. We’ll cross that bridge later.
