Groundlink and Amex Offers have a nifty promo whereby you can get a $25 statement credit after spending $125 in one or more purchases between now and April 3rd, 2020 – limit 2 times. This is the second time that Groundlink has been on Amex Offers ( earlier it was spend $150, get $50.) You can read about my experience here, but it was quite positive. I ended up in a Supercharged Range Rover for $48.

Remember Amex offers requires you to add the deal to your targeted card in order to receive the benefit.

Details:

I used Groundlink earlier this year when they were running a spend $150 get $50 promo and made use of some attractive offers from LGA to the City

How does that compare to Uber?

Thoughts:

I used Groundlink earlier this year and was quite happy with them. As you can see above, the rates were more competitive than uber when comparing similar vehicles.

Speaking of Uber.

Uber has made things more complicated for those of us who use LAX frequently like me. They’ve put in new restrictions regarding the pick up/drop off of travelers using rideshare apps like Uber/Lyft. The one exception? Premium rides like Uber Black, Suv, etc.

I’d highly recommend looking at the price comparison between Groundlink and Uber as many of the drivers are on both, and if you can score a credit on top of a better fare, and curbside pickup…why wouldn’t you do it?

  • […] To start off a grand trip through Israel, Jordan, Egypt, and Qatar my family positioned to New York in order to fly United’s new Polaris business class direct from Newark to Tel Aviv. Instead of positioning the same day as our international flight we decided to spend a night in NYC, check out the St Regis for 60k Bonvoy points, ( that’s what they’re called now, right?), and the newly renovated Intercontinental Barclay ( used an IHG Select free night ). Shortly before our trip was due to start Amex targeted me and my parents for Groundlink promos: spend $150 get $50 back. […]
