My family is still on our Around the World trip and we were heading out of Abu Dhabi to Cannes, France for our final leg. I was able to snag both my folks Etihad Apartments, but unfortunately on the flight we wanted… a 3rd never opened up. This meant that I’d be in Business and wouldn’t have access to the First Class lounge. My parents ended up perusing the First Class lounge, but ultimately preferred kicking it with me in the Business Lounge.

If you’re flying business or first through Abu Dhabi you can visit the Etihad Business Class lounge. If you’re Etihad Gold or Silver you can as well.

Lemme tell you, you won’t be disappointed in the lounge itself. 3 Buffet stations, 2 coffee bars, tons of seating, free WiFi, and even a sit down restaurant, but that’s not all.

The coolest part is in the back. The Six Senses Spa and Etihad Style and Shave.

Get your hair did, nails did, and the crisp feel of stainless steal turning your face into a baby’s bum.

It starts with a hot towel. Then comes the pre-shave lotion. The barber proceeds to lather up your face with shaving cream and shave in one direction. After that he re-applies lotion, cream, and shaves your face in the other direction.

We loved it. However, word to the wise – if you’re a sensitive flower like me… you may only want him to do one direction.

Oh wow, this would be super convenient for anyone having to wait around! I’ve only found one barbershop in Montgomery, TX that even offers a straight razor shave and they are fantastic! They offer hot towel shaves among other services and the pricing is also great. I’m really happy I found this Montgomery barbershop and was introduced to a classic straight razor shave, I’ll never go to anyone else! How expensive was it for a straight razor shave in the airport? I’d imagine it would be quite pricey!

Jose – it was actually free! I used points for the flight, and in the lounge there was an area doing spa treatments.

I did this in the Etihad lounge – an absolute nightmare. I was bleeding like crazy and the dude put something on my face which burned like holy hell.

Sasidhar – haha did you heal up? After an hour i looked like Freddie Kruger had shaved me, but by day’s end I’d healed up and looked smooth.
