Chase Freedom Bonus Categories!!!
You must activate this quarter’s categories by June 14th!
Every quarter, Chase Freedom has fixed Bonus Categories that allow you to earn 5% back on all your spending within those categories. The first quarter was great…Grocery Stores, Starbucks, and Movie Theaters. The max is $1500 per quarter and I was able to max out that category by buying a gift card at a grocery store to pay some other bills! That’s 7500 Ultimate Rewards!
If you carry a Chase Freedom you get your rewards as Cash back. BUT, if you happen to also have a premium Chase card that earns Ultimate Rewards like a Sapphire Preferred, Bold, or Ink Plus, you can transfer the points earned from your Chase Freedom card into Chase Ultimate Rewards earned by your other cards. It’s flipping fantastic!
If you are able to max out the category spend each quarter you’d end up earning 30,000 ultimate rewards on just $6000 spend. The 24,000 extra points you’d earn equates to nearly a roundtrip domestic ticket on United, and the best part is it’s just for using the right card at the right place!
