Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Unlimited 20k/$200 Sign up Bonus
Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Unlimited are cash back cards integral to maximizing your earn rate with Chase. The long and short is Chase Freedom has rotating 5x categories ( $1500 max per quarter ), and Chase Freedom Unlimited earns 1.5x on every single purchase you make – no maximum. The goal is to create a Chase ecosystem of cards that give you the best possible rate of return on each purchase you make, and having at least one of these Freedom cards in your wallet is integral. I personally carry a Chase Sapphire Preferred and a Chase Freedom. I also have the business version of the Chase Freedom Unlimited: The Chase Ink Business Unlimited which is how I integrate 1.5x into my wallet. I This allows me to push spend through a variety of Chase cards to earn those valuable Ultimate Rewards, and leave as little points on the table.
Don’t forget that these are technically cash back cards, butttttt you can convert them into Ultimate Rewards and transfer to partners if you carry a premium Chase card like the Sapphire Preferred, or Ink Business Preferred. This is how you can maximize the value of your points and fly in those sweet cabins we all aspire to put our butts in.
Also…if you want to leave a referral our main Chase Refer a Friend page…feel free

Here’s a look at the Chase Freedom 5x Rotating Point Calendar for 2020
Straight to the punch. Every single quarter you’re given the opportunity to earn 5% or 5x on rotating categories, up to $1500 per quarter. We are all buying more groceries this quarter than we would otherwise, or at least I know I am, and voila…you can earn 5x doing so. I do my best to max these bonus categories each and very month…it’ll boost your balance by 30k
5/24
Both of these cards are restricted by 5/24 and will add to your 5/24 number
Taxing on referrals
You may receive a 1099 from Chase on your referral bonuses. Historically this has been at $0.01 per point…don’t hold me to that.
Combining with a Chase Premium Card to access Chase Transfer Partners
When you carry a Chase Freedom card alongside a Chase Premium card like a Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, or Ink Business Preferred, you have the ability to merge points into the premium account and take advantage of transfer partners. Chase has some of the best out there.
