Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Unlimited are cash back cards integral to maximizing your earn rate with Chase. The long and short is Chase Freedom has rotating 5x categories ( $1500 max per quarter ), and Chase Freedom Unlimited earns 1.5x on every single purchase you make – no maximum. The goal is to create a Chase ecosystem of cards that give you the best possible rate of return on each purchase you make, and having at least one of these Freedom cards in your wallet is integral. I personally carry a Chase Sapphire Preferred and a Chase Freedom. I also have the business version of the Chase Freedom Unlimited: The Chase Ink Business Unlimited which is how I integrate 1.5x into my wallet. Historically 80k is a very, very good offer and hit in both 2022 and 2023. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back.
