The Chase Sapphire ReserveĀ® comes with an annual up to $300 dining credit split into two $150 semi annual credits at Sapphire Reserve Exclusive restaurants. These are typically high end restaurants where it’d be pretty easy to blow through the whole $150 semi annual dining credit in a single visit. A few things that are anecdotally coming in for data points
Officially this is how the credit works
When you dine at one of the restaurants listed here, use your Sapphire Reserve to pay, the credit will show up as a statement credit after the charge has hit. Most people seem to be seeing this within a few days. The credits can be across multiple restaurants adding up to the $150 semi annual credit.
- Must be a Sapphire Exclusive Restaurant
- Must use your CSR to pay
- No need to enroll
- You don’t need to book ahead of time, use OpenTable, etc.
Unofficially this is what has been working
- Take Out orders that are paid on property
- Gift Cards purchased on property
- Gift Card purchased online as long as Toast is processing the credit

The ability to buy gift cards makes the credit a lot easier, potentially saving them up for a large group dinner, or even selling them if they’d go unused. For parents with small children that would like to be able to take food home, the take out feature is great as well. Initially I thought it would only work on sit down, opentable booked, charges, but as the credit unfolds it’s options are expanding.
The only annoying part is for cardholders that don’t live in big cities with qualifying restaurants.
