I almost made a Chase Freedom Quarterly Bonus Cardinal Sin. Yes, those exist. What is it? Using a card that isn’t your Chase Freedom at one of the designated 5x categories because you forgot the new month started. I almost did it. I needed chips. Don’t judge, it was Easter and time to snack, and I ALMOST didn’t pay with my Chase Freedom at a grocery store. That would have resulted in easy points lost 4x – $3.99 of them. I know…I would have lost sleep. Luckily, pre-swipe, I realized my mistake and swapped out for one of my two Chase Freedoms and scored my 5x points. BYAH! Don’t forget…here’s a reminder.
