19As spotted by FrequentMiler AutoSlash has an offer going on their new service “HotelSlash” which basically does the same thing for hotels as AutoSlash does for rental cars. If you’re unfamiliar with AutoSlash, it’s a membership site that delivers unpublished ( and often incredible deals ) on car rentals. AutoSlash has to charge for the service in order to circumvent “rate parity” and offer rates that are below the hotel’s book direct rates. However, if you sign up now, you will get a free lifetime membership, and there’s really no reason not to join ( espeically if you have an email that you use for bookings, clubs, memberships, etc ). I have no affiliate, etc this is just what I think is a good deal.

How does HotelSlash work?
Neither of the following two methods actually book the hotel, just gives you rates.
- Email with discounted rates at your hotel of choice

The rate monitoring service could be quite helpful if you already have a booking and want to be notified if the price drops.
Will I get my elite benefits, points?
No…as with any 3rd party, the odds are very, very slim that they will honor any elite status you have
Overall
AutoSlash is a great service, but typically most people don’t really care about rental car benefits being extended in the same way that you’d want hotel benefits like free breakfast, elite points, late checkout, etc. So, will HotelSlash be as valuable as AutoSlash? I’m not sure, but the monitoring service would be valuable especially if you get in now while they’re offering free membership.

Historically 80k is a very, very good offer and hit in both 2022 and 2023. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back.
