Honestly, I’m not surprised that Hyatt has extended this great promo for World of Hyatt members and World of Hyatt credit cardholders. Hotel stays are down significantly, 25% of all hotels in the US are in danger of defaulting on their loans, and this can of promo could be enough for people to choose a Hyatt over other brands. This was due to expire in October, but has now been extended until January 4th, 2021.
Personally, I think they should extend this for all reservations in 2021 as long as you book them before the end of the year. This would incentivize people to plan for the best with the ability to cancel if things don’t improve. That hasn’t happened as of yet, but we shall see.

In case you’re looking at some aspirational properties that would be a steal…how about the Park Hyatt Maldives. I mean, who knows if tourists will be allowed over new years or what airlines will be flying, but the travel geek is like wait a minute – I can redeem points for the Park Hyatt Maldives over New Years? And get a discount – yep, you can.
This would cost 30k per night, or 120k points. A few days after your stay, you would get your points rebate ( either 18k or 30k points) and net out between 90k and 102k points. A fantastic deal if you can make it work.
