Hyatt Place Colorado Springs Review

This past week I had the distinct pleasure of visiting Randy and the Boarding Area team at their headquarters in Colorado Springs. Lucky for me, just a few blocks away, there is a new Hyatt Place that offered a very polite welcome, a simple room with a great view, and easy valet parking that was gratis since I booked with points as a Globalist. Let’s take a look

Booking Details

I transferred 16k points over from my Bilt Rewards account to book the Hyatt Place Colorado Springs. The cash rate was about $160 a night, and as a I mentioned above, I got valet parking free of charge. That would have been $25 a night. So, in total, $185 vs 8k points was a pretty solid value to me.

There was a new employee at the front desk who was very nice and gave us a warm welcome.

The Room

The room was very clean, modern, spacious with a couch/workdesk, and had a nice view of the mountains across the parking lot. It was everything we really expected from a Hyatt Place. Oddly, we were given two 2 queen beds when we had booked King. The hotel was pretty empty, but we were quite tired from the travel day and didn’t want to have to move.

Overall

Breakfast is served in the morning, which we didn’t make, and the hotel is smack dab in the middle of town. If you’re looking for a modern hotel, that isn’t overly fancy but ticks all the boxes and is a great downtown location, I wouldn’t hesitate to come back here. There are cafes, restaurants, etc all within a few minutes walk. If you’re looking for luxury, I’d look at the Broadmoor that is a 10 minute drive away.
