Amex Gold is one of my go-to cards with 4x dining and groceries. For the longest time, the 50k referral bonus was the best offer out there. While that is still populating – I’d suggest leaving a referral on our thread – Doctor of Credit is reporting a whopping 70k offer arriving in mailboxes. This is by far the biggest bonus we have learned about on the card, and if you receive one of these bad boys, I’d seriously consider taking advantage of it. Unfortunately, there isn’t really a way to populate the offer, but lemme know if you get it – I’d love to provide a picture with consent.
Here’s a quick overview of the card’s benefits
- 4x points at restaurants
- 4x points at US supermarkets ( up to $25k a year )
- 3x points on flights purchased directly with the airline or Amex Travel
- 1x on all other purchases
- $120 Dining Credit at select restaurants
- Grubhub, Boxed, Seamless, The Cheesecake Factory, Ruth’s Chris Steak House and participating Shake Shack locations. Excludes Shake Shack locations in ballparks, stadiums, airports and racetracks.
- $100 Airline Fee Credit
- Annual Fee is $250
`70k Membership would fly you one way in Lufthansa First Class
You can leave your referrals here, but I’d recommend putting them on the main thread ( here ), you’ll get a better chance at getting used.
