LA to Hong Kong in 4 hours? Yes, Please
Tom Johnson has designed the Cygnus M3, a plane that could not just bring back the Concorde era, but surpass it. The Cygnus M3 is a supersonic jet capable of transporting 32 passengers from LA to Hong Kong in 4 hours, Dubai to Melbourne in 4h 8m, Paris to Sao Paulo in 3h 50m, and yes…New York to London in just 2 hours. If that isn’t incredible enough, Johnson says that roundtrips between LA and Hong Kong would cost just $3400, and suspects it would cost roughly $120 Million to construct the jet once certain legal obstacles are overcome. Remember when Powerball hit a cool $1.6 Billion…I’m pretty sure a Cygnus M3 would be added to my wish list ASAP 😉 Take a look at the video below, and if you’re interested in reading about all the technical specs…go here.
