American Express Centurion Lounges are a great perk for Amex Platinum and Centurion card members, and I recently had the opportunity to hop into the Las Vegas Centurion lounge while en route to Buenos Aires. While these lounges can get extremely packed during peak time, Amex has been implementing capacity controls in addition to now limiting cardholders to just 2 guests, and my visit was very early in the morning and I was able to enjoy a fairly empty lounge.
Here’s where Amex currently offers Centurion lounges
  • Dallas (DFW)
  • Hong Kong (HKG)
  • Houston (IAH)
  • Las Vegas (LAS)
  • New York (LGA)
  • Philadelphia (PHL)
  • Miami (MIA)
  • Seattle (SEA)
  • San Francisco (SFO)

Deets:

  • When: November 2018
  • Where: Las Vegas
  • Access: Amex Platinum

Location:

  • Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (Concourse D, opposite Gate D1), 5 am – 11 pm

After checking in you’ll be greeted with immediate seating

To your left you’ll see a bar area – was closed as it was 7am when I arrived. I think Amex has done a great job segmenting the lounge with a wide variety of seating. Whether you’re family wanting semi-privacy or you’re looking to get some work done – they’ve got you covered.

Enjoy the Centurion Lounge with American Express Platinum

There is a private room for children to play

Head on back and you’ll find the dining area.

Amex is known to curate their menus based on location. Since it was breakfast and I was in vegas I kinda of expected to find glow sticks and red bull, but I found a nice assortment of cold and hot dishes that catered to both meat and non meat eaters.

In back of the lounge you’ll find work stations and cubbies for privacy

Miles and I chose to sit along the windows

Overall:

I visited this lounge a couple years ago and it has held up well. Last time it was crazily crowded and I only flashed in and out with barely any time on the ground, this time – I got to take a breath, have a coffee, enjoy some breakfast, and write this post in a very nice lounge with fast wifi.
