Well this is a sad development and well spotted by Frequent Miler. This must have happened overnight because I was just searching hotels in NYC and London yesterday and every Points Boost property was still giving me 2 cents per point ( I have a Chase Sapphire Reserve for Businessâ„ ). That has changed. Points Boost will now give you “up to” 2 cents per point. Big distinction. Now you’ll see a range of Points Boost valuations across eligible properties ranging from about 1.65 cents to 2 cents per point. I’ve been able to make use of Points Boost several times at properties that aren’t included in any loyalty programs, or it was just much more favorable pricing via Points Boost vs transferring out.
One case in point was staying at the Ritz Carlton Turks and Caicos for 30k per night vs 100k Marriott. We also got all of The Edit benefits as well.
Here’s a look at what you’ll now see when a property qualifies for Points Boost.
