The St Regis Rome ( which will be category 8/85k a night come March of 2019) is one of the most expensive properties in Rome. It may even be the most expensive hotel you can redeem points to stay at during your visit. Up until a couple weeks ago, the hotel was under a much needed renovation, and as luck would have it…I snagged a competitive virtuoso rate and stayed at it just after completion. In fact, I’d originally booked a stay at the Boscolo Rome ( now the Palazzo Naiadi ) after a great stay there in 2016 when the St Regis was offering rooms for nearly $800 a night. Shoot me. A couple days prior to our arrival, the St Regis dropped prices to within $50 of the Boscolo and we’d get Virtuoso benefits. YES!
The hotel is epic, dating back to 1894 and renovated by Pierre-Yves Rochun who has done a litany of uber exclusive properties around the world: Four Seasons Florence, Shangri-la Paris, Savoy London, Peninsula Paris it is in very good company. Here’s a little sneak peek.
I have a feeling this hotel is going to shoot up the Tripadvisor list of best Rome hotels. Currently it sits at 105.
