I will likely be prioritizing Alaska status over any others next year. Why? Award flights will count toward achieving elite status and I’ll be flying back and forth to England quite a few times so will easily rack up some EQMs via American or British Airways. I also fly American quite a bit in the US, and with Alaska redemptions as low as 4500 miles, I use them quite a bit. Additionally, I’d love to fly Cathay and Japan Airlines again next year to review their latest business and first class products ( If I can find award space! ), and you can still move Amex to Hawaiian to Alaska, so it makes sense to me to put Alaska status as a priority as I can easily access all of these redemptions.
With all of that said, you can now status match your Alaska and Hawaiian accounts. I didn’t know if they would recognize my Alaska status gifted by Bilt, but alas, they did not. If you’d like to match your Alaska and Hawaiian status, you can do so below.
How does the Status Match work?
- For status matched based on 2023 activity, status matched into Mileage Plan will be valid through December 31, 2024 and status matched into HawaiianMiles will be valid through February 28, 2025.
- For status matched based on 2024 activity, status matched into Mileage Plan will be valid through December 31, 2025 and status matched into HawaiianMiles will be valid through February 28, 2026. If Mileage Plan and HawaiianMiles programs are combined into a single program prior to the end of 2025, equivalent status will be granted in the successor program through December 31, 2025.

Then you’ll be given status, which sadly I ended up empty handed.
