This may be the best Amex Offer I’ve seen in while.

In case you didn’t know…Ticket Galaxy is online ticket sales site. I’ve never used them, heard of them, and now am most certainly going to getting some tickets through them.  I searched a few different gigs I was interested in seeing. Some in large markets, and quite a few in much smaller markets. They had seats to all of them. Pretty cool that I’ll net out 10k Amex points simply by purchasing tickets I was already going to get, but using a new service.

There is currently an 80k offer after $4k spend in 3 months available in branch, and up to 90k after $6k spend in 6 months. I suspect some version of this will be online soon if you don’t want the hassle of going into a branch.

We keep an up to date spreadsheet that lists the best ever offers: You can find that spreadsheet here.

Historically 60k is a very, very good offer. In 2021, we saw the offer hit an all time high of 100k. Who knows if that will ever come back. .

Main Cast:

Cards that earn flexible points and should be used on the bulk of your purchases.

Supporting Cast:

Cards that earn fixed points in the currency of the airline/hotel and can not be transferred at attractive rates. These cards yield benefits that make it worth keeping, but not necessarily worth putting a lot of your everyday spend on.

They are not a first hand ticket retailer. They “re-list” tickets from other sites like Stubhub at a much higher markup and charge you a monstrous service fee at the last step of checkout. It might be a decent deal with the $100 off though

I have “spend $300 get $100 back” all over the place (I manage countless amex card accounts for 4 family members) but not a single “get 10k” offer. I checked all cards that earns reward points. While doing that I found 1 interesting offer on 1 business gold card. get 2k points on $100+ purchase at staples.com
that offer sounds more exiting but got only 1…

this was really fortunate since i was going to buy rockette tickets this weekend. however, i checked prices, and the same tickets are selling for much cheaper on ticketmaster. $110 vs $75

After the 10k MR rebate, i might come out ahead if i value MR highly, but its really just being able to purchase MR at a discount.

I have one for them but it is “spend $300 get $100 back” on my Delta Plat AMEX.
