Yes. Singapore Suites are bookable for 35k miles.

Well…some things are TOO GOOD to be true. Shortly after this article was published, Alaska changed their award chart and no longer allows Suites to be had on the Intra Asia routes for 35k.

Flying in the famed Singapore Suites is an experience that should be on everyone’s bucket list. Achieving that got much easier with yesterday’s news that you can redeem Alaska miles on Singapore Airlines, and Suites are included. While the partnership has been going for quite some time ( you could earn in either program flying the other ), you can now redeem. In fact, I’d say that a few redemption options are pretty competitive, but flying Singapore Suites for just 35k miles is unbelievable. Let’s take a look.

Here’s a glimpse at the Beijing to Singapore route.

Currently, Singapore is flying their older A380s with Singapore Suites. This is actually the version that I flew on my mom’s around the world trip and even though it’s not the newest iteration, it’s fantastic.

Here’s a look at the how the availability will populate:

If you take a closer look at SQ 807, you’ll see that it’s on the A380. You’ll want to make sure that you investigate the airplane flying each route you’re considering. You’ll want the A380.

In fact, Alaska even has their miles on sale until October 31st offering a 40% bonus on purchased miles. That means you could straight buy this route for roughly $750. Read more here. Buy Here.

How many Alaska miles will it take to fly Singapore Airlines on other routes? Let’s take a look

US to Asia:

Notably, the deal to look at is 80k to North Asia ( LAX to NRT is fairly competitive)

Europe to Asia:

Various regions to India:a screenshot of a computer a screenshot of a computer a screenshot of a computer

US to Africaa screenshot of a computer

Make sure you do price comparisons as deals widely vary by carrier:

Take a look at this flight between Tokyo and Singapore. Flying on JAL you’d pay just 25k vs the 60k with Singapore. 25k for nearly 8 hours of lie flat JAL Business class luxury is a downright steal. Do your research and price around.

Overall:

I don’t think I’ll be using Alaska miles for flights on Singapore Airlines any time soon. I’d hoped that some of the fifth freedom routes from US to Europe would have made the list, but alas, they did not. Additionally, flying direct from the US to Singapore in biz is a whopping 100k. When you can often buy premium economy for under $1k on this route during sales and upgrade with miles, and earn a lot of Alaska miles, I can’t see myself redeeming for this route either.

The most attractive, and one I’ll probably make use of at some point, is intra-Asia flights. I’d guess the biggest reason for this pricing is geared towards the low demand of Alaska loyalists in the region, heavy amount of competition, and frequency of flights. Whatever the reason…35k points for Suites is amazing, and I can’t wait to throw some miles at it in the future.

Hi There! Is the redemption PEK-SIN on suite 35K is a mistake on Alaska part? I look and currently is 75K for suite and 65K for business. What a jump 🙁
