One of my best pickups last year was the Atmos™ Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® Credit Card. Not because I use the card that much for purchases, but it’s saved me a ton on partner booking fees and I just used the 25k Global Companion certificate on an Aer Lingus booking. It also allows you to move points between accounts which allowed me to cancel my Hawaiian Airlines Business Card. Yes it costs $395 a year, but most people don’t realize that when you cancel a partner booking, they keep the fees. Having this fee waived has allowed me to book and cancel a least a dozen times this year on tickets for 2 people. At $12.50 a pop… that’s $300 right there.
This post is about the 25k Global Cert tho. So let’s get to it.
*heads up it appears some people are getting a 1099 error code when trying to use the certificates ( I haven’t personally had this happen using my phone browser, app, or chrome ) but there are several complaints in forums.
Step 1: Find your certificate
You NEED to start the process here. You can’t apply the certificate after you start searching, you MUST search with it attached. Then the discount is auto applied.
Step 2 – start your booking with it
Find it in your discounts and companion fares and click Use to Book
Step 3 – make sure you book for 2 people
It won’t allow you to book for more than 2 people, or at least I haven’t had any luck. Meaning, if you’re booking a group of 3, you may need to book separately. I’m hoping this is changed in the future, but that’s the luck I’ve run into.
As you can see below I was able to find one of the screaming good deals in business class that Alaska offers on Aer Lingus. Normally this would be 45k miles, but with the 25k discount, the second person flies for just 20k.

And that’s it… follow the rest of the booking and select your Summit card to avoid the partner booking fee.
