Branson sat down with CNBC in Singapore today and broke some very exciting news. According to the Billionaire visionary, he expects Virgin Galactic test flights to begin in “weeks not months,” and he himself with be cruising gravity free in “months not years,” from there on…everyone else.
We’ve been hearing rumors of Virgin space travel for a long, long time, and Branson seeks to be the first to make it commercially viable ( beating out the likes of Musk and Bezos in the process). Originally, the price of the putting yourself on the waitlist was $250k, he estimates that price will go up, but hope that within a few years of service they can reduce the cost to $40-50k. Still an incredible amount of money, but I’m sure Frequent Miler will figure out some way to do it on points 🙂
