Hyatt recently announced that AMR hotels ( which feature a bevy of All-Inclusive properties and they purchased in 2021 ) was live to earn and burn World of Hyatt points, and we have Caption rolling out. The first Caption property will be a category 3 hotel and feature 136 rooms on Beale Street in Memphis Tennessee.
Caption will target upmarket millennials focusing on lifestyle and tech which sounds really cool. Guests will be able to use their iPhone or Apple Watch to unlock guest rooms/common areas/gym without the need of a traditional hotel key. I’m keen to see how this works since most iterations of this feature I’ve experienced tend to be a bit wonky, but fingers crossed!
Here’s a sneak peek – as you can see the rooms will be small since Caption emphasizes the hotel communal experience far more than the room itself. Personally, I’m a traditional luxury kind of guy and tend to be more introverted. Then again, I’m in my 40s and not in the target audience. Will I try it? Sure thing.
As I mentioned Caption offers more of a communal Co-working vibe centered around its Talk Shop.
“The brand’s reimagined arrival experience where guests will enjoy a lively welcome area, all-day lounge and workspace, coffee shop, eatery, grab-and-go artisanal market and cocktail bar. “
