Love me some Sixt Platinum Status – 6 day Benz rental for ~$140
So I needed to rent a car for about a week and had never used Sixt’s service. I’ve long heard that they give amazing upgrades and thought I’d give it a go. But, before I made any reservations I needed to leverage my upgrade chances. There have been multiple posts from various bloggers that highlight Sixt’s very generous status match program. I ended up instant matching my Hilton Diamond status to Sixt’s Platinum status. That meant that I should get a double upgrade without doing anything different. Mannnnnnnnnn I love me some Sixt Platinum Status.
What does Platinum Status get me?
If you create a new account with Sixt and go through the steps you will be given an option to match status. At this point you’ll see a long menu of qualified matches…Hilton Diamond did the trick for me. Once you’re Platinum you will be given these benefits:
Straight from the site…check out the 3rd benny – DOUBLE UPGRADE
I matched about 15 mins before I made my reservation. Without a match it would require 10 rentals to achieve the status.
When I made my reservation I chose this
And then when I arrived I got this car. That’s like a double on double upgrade. Miles never grinned so large.
How amazing is that?! The best part is I only paid ~$140 for 6 days of C300Benzo Action. BYAH!
