American is NOTORIOUS for NOT RELEASING their premium cabin space in general, but especially on their routes over the Atlantic. They’ve intimated that they are going to start releasing more space, but my feeling has remained somewhere between dubios and skeptical. HOWEVER, to AA’s credit, maybe they’re changing their ways. I stumbled upon some great options if you’re looking to travel to Europe. Starting in June/July, AA has released a tremendous amount of space if you wish to originate/route via Dallas. We’re talking large swaths of the calendar with wide open business and first class avail. In fact, I was able to secure 3 First Class seats for my family on a trip we’re planning later this year. If you wish to fly the longer route from LAX to LHR, look to fly later than September when seats are far more avail.
Most of these flights are serviced with their Flagship 77W which features a great reverse herringbone seat:
We have reviewed this product twice. Check it out:Review: American Air Business Class LHR-LAX 777-300ER Mini Cabin
You may find some dates leaving from LAX that are serviced by their 772 which will offer one of the two following seat configurations: We’ve reviewed both of them ( LEFT SEAT ) and ( RIGHT SEAT )
The main route with a ton of space is DFW to LHR
Things open up from LA to London starting in Sept: Lots of a Biz, and one period with First
Good Luck!
