Amex transfer to British Airways is back to 1:1
I was perusing reddit and ran across a quick post that showed the transfer between Amex and British Airways at 1:1. Amex will run promotion with transfer bonuses ( up to 50%), but the normal Amex transfer ratio is: 250 Membership Rewards = 200 Avios. This lags behind Chase’s Ultimate Reward transfer ratio of 1:1. I wasn’t notified of the change, and judging by the post on Reddit, neither were other people. I did, however, log into my Amex account and saw that Amex transfer to British Airways is back to 1:1.
Personally I think that some of the best redemption options for Avios are positioning flights.
Unfamiliar with positioning flights? Read our Monkey Miles Monday Memo written specifically on the subject. You can also watch our tutorial on how to use Avios to fly on partners…
Avios are also a great use intra-Asia where you can fly Cathay Pacific business class on many routes for just 15k Avios.
