Bank of America Alaska Airlines Visa® Business Card

Bank of America has a great new offer on the Alaska Airlines Visa® Business Card – 75k after $4k spend in 3 months + a Buy One Get One companion fare. I actually added this card to my wallet.  This offer comes and goes, so act quick if you’d like to get it.

I’ve had this card multiple times since 2015 ( starting when it was a meager 25k ) and actually picked it up last November. Alaska miles are some of the most valuable airline miles in the business, but I’d still categorize this card as a supporting cast member vs main cast.

If you’re familiar with how we analyze cards here at Monkey Miles, we break credit cards into two groups as if they were in a play, tv show, or movie: Main cast and Supporting Cast. Your wallet should be comprised of cards that you use on a regular basis for all your purchases – this is your main cast. We prefer those cards to earn you flexible points that can be converted travel partners via transfer. The second category are cards that give you perks and support your wallet like free bags, a free night every year, etc – or your supporting cast. The Bank of America Alaska Airlines Business Visa would part of the supporting cast should we add it.

Main Cast:

Cards that earn flexible points and should be used on the bulk of your purchases.

Supporting Cast:

Cards that earn fixed points in the currency of the airline/hotel and can not be transferred at attractive rates. These cards yield benefits that make it worth keeping, but not necessarily worth putting a lot of your everyday spend on.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® is exceptional starter card and offers transferrable Ultimate Rewards, and pairs well with other Chase cards.

Any thoughts on getting a second Alaska business card if you already have the business card?

  • Fivegirls December 13, 2023

Let us know if your offer is matched. I just got it last week as well…

  • Mike August 6, 2022

Seems like the honest thing would be to post “$99/121 companion pass” or something of the sort rather than BOGO. Other blogs did that. Yours is the only one I saw that didn’t mention that fee.

Maybe the deceit is worth the clicks?

    • Miles August 11, 2022

nah just an oversight, updated to reflect that.

      • Steve December 14, 2023

An even more honest thing to do would be to not spoof an old $65K offer, make sure your referral code was still splashed on, and then present this as a valid offer.

        • Miles December 14, 2023

huh? I don’t have any referral code, this is a straight to BofA link that, as mentioned, was found by DDG
