Capital One has again announced that they are making some big league moves to their loyalty program. If you remember, a couple of years ago they introduced transfer partners which sprung Capital One out of the cashback only system and into a different league. While this was a great move, what made it more complicated than competitors was the 4:3 transfer ratio on most of their transfers. If you’ll recall, this improved in April when they gave 9 of those partners a 1:1 transfer ratio. They gone and done it again…now, every single partners, except Accor and EVA are 1:1. This makes Cap1 a top tier competitor in my mind.

Here’s the new list of Capital One transfer partners

Capital One has readjusted another 5 of their partners to 1:1

In total, by the end of October, Capital One will have 17 transfer partners – 15 are now 1:1

This is another great improvement.  Emirates SkyWards is one of my favorite programs and it just moved from 2:1 to 1:1. That’s pretty massive

  • Air Canada Aeroplan
  • Air France Flying Blue
  • British Airways Avios
  • Emirates SkyWards
  • Turkish Miles and Smiles

You can redeem 85k Cap1 Miles and transfer them to Emirates to fly First Class from the US to Milan

Remember, Capital One added 4 new transfer partners over the course of 2021, but are losing JetBlue and Alitalia later this month

The following programs were added over the past several months

  • British Airways Executive Club,
  • Choice Privileges
  • TAP Air Portugal Miles&Go
  • Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles

One of my favorite uses of British Airways Avios is to upgrade a class of service. I’ve done this a few times upgrading discount business class to first class

You can use Turkish miles to fly for just 45k miles in business class from the US to Europe like on SAS shown below

Don’t forget the Capital One Venture Rewards earns 2 points on every dollar spent

On 9 transfer partners you’ll be earning the equivalent of 2 points for every dollar you spend. Most of the others you’ll continue to earn the equivalent of 1.5 and a few will be just 1.

I get a lot of requests to do trips with Cap1 miles on TikTok – now those will be far easier to highlight and illustrate how rewarding this program can really be with the new transfer partners and better transfer rates.

VERY WELCOMED NEWS! BRAVO CAP!
