Earn an additional 5x points at Best Buy until February 4th.
Yesterday, Best Buy and Chase announced a limited time, promotional bonus when you check out using Chase Pay. You can already earn 5x points this quarter paying with Chase Freedom through Apple Pay, Chase Pay, and Samsung Pay wherever it’s available. This is a nice 5x additional bonus that brings the total amount you could earn to 9500 points for the quarter. This assumes you max out the 5x $1500 + the additional 5x $400. Remember, Freedom earns cash back, but if it’s paired with an Ultimate Rewards, like the Chase Sapphire Reserve or Chase Ink Business earning card you can convert those points into very valuable transferable points.
The process is super simple
If you haven’t used Chase Pay, go to the app store and download it. You’ll enter in your information and whichever cards that you currently hold with Chase will populate in the app. Select the card you want at check out and you’ll be given a QR code that will get scanned. It’s a slightly different process than paying with Apple Pay, but still very easy and straight forward.
I was able to take advantage of Chase Pay bonuses at Best Buy in December when they offered similar 10x promotional bonuses, but I used my Chase Sapphire Reserve instead.
