The International Terminal at LAX will house the new Amex Centurion Lounge
At long last…those of us who either use LAX as a home base, or frequent it, will have our very own Centurion lounge to use. It’ll be located in the International terminal, which by the numbers, has the most passenger traffic, and is easily accessible from terminals 4,5,6,7, and 8. The lounge will span more than 13,900 sq ft, feature a spa, family room, custom visual wall installations, elevated chef crafted food menus, premium wines and cocktails from sommelier Anthony Giglio and mixologist Jim Meehan, high speed internet, and showers. While there isn’t an official opening date, it will be sometime in 2019.
Centurion Lounge access is one of my favorite Platinum Card perks…
On a personal note…I’m tres excited about this. I hold both an Amex personal plat card, and an Amex business plat, but have only been able to utilize Centurion lounges when flying through other airports. While those visits do save money, having an Amex Centurion lounge in my home airport will progressively eat the annual fee away with every visit. I find the food and drink options to be elevated when compared to other domestic lounges, and the spa benefit is going to be amazing. Who doesn’t like a quick 10 min de-stressing pressing 😉
