Japan is finally reopening to tourists on October 11th and will allow visa-free entry and abolish the daily arrival cap! The requirements for entry will be 3 vaccinations or test negative Covid test. They’re also going to be releasing a nationwide travel discount program which will provide discounts for travel, entry to theme parks/sporting events and concerts:
- Public transportation and accommodation
- ¥8,000 discount per person per night booking both
- ¥5,000 for accommodation only.
- Restaurant coupons
- ¥3,000 on weekdays
- ¥1,000 on weekends
