If you’re in the market for a dope new GoPro then this weekend has some pretty fantastic opportunities to either grab a new one, trade in an old one. I’m currently in the midst of YouTube-ing weekly videos that consist of either tutorials, commentary, and a lot of reviews. My GoPro has been pretty awesome to have for on the move shooting, capturing b-roll, and also providing a different aspect/viewpoint to support my main filming camera.

While GoPro has some nice deals to offer via the website, especially if you want a package, or you’re trading in an older camera/GoPro, you can really sweeten the deal by stacking with Amex Offers current promo. Let’s take a look

I used my GoPro throughout this video of Etihad’s First Class

GoPro has discounted their new Hero 8 , but the bundle is pricing the same

The shorty grip and extra battery are nice additions. Batteries on GoPros, from my experience, expire very quickly. The shorty grip, if you are unfamiliar, extends like a selfie stick, and also converts into a tripod. That’s a $450 value for $350.

GoPro has also equipped the Hero8 with Hyper Smooth. If you’ve ever used a GoPro on the move you’d notice quite a bit of shake. While I haven’t used the new 8 personally, reviews intimate that they help eliminate shake and get closer to using a gimble.

Accessorize

One big thing that the GoPro has against it, in comparison with other Vlogging style cameras is the microphone and lack of view screen. You can attach components to the 8 to fix these inadequacies, and also add a light to it.

GoPro is currently offer  up to $100 when you trade in your old camera

While I love using my Hero 6, I’m thinking of upgrading to the insanely smooth Hero 8 , and picking up a Fusion which not only shoots in 5.2K, but captures 360 degree footage allowing you to select which angle ( or both ) you prefer while editing in post. Pretty slick. Also…means you could get $110 back on a $300 purchase. Now, that is pretty attractive.

A note…you can’t combine trade-in with the package deal, only the Hero 8 and 7 alone.

You can drop the price even more.

  • Must be done by 12/17/19
