Great Amex Offers when browsing Incognito: Everyday Preferred 30k, Green 25k, PRGold 50k

As reported on the reddit/churning thread the offers are back. This is something that happens repeatedly throughout the year, but it’s good to know it’s back right now. I don’t have an Everyday Preferred card but it’s high on my list to get as it offers an incredible earn rate of 4.5x at grocery stores. How do you do it? Incognito. I’ll do a quick walk through but there are some Great Amex Offers when browsing Incognito.

What is Incognito? Why do I get separate offers?

If you’re browsing with a normal browser, websites are dropping cookies so they can, amongst other things, recognize you the next time you visit. When you go Incognito you prevent those cookies. That means, every time you visit a website you’re like a stranger, and that opens up the opportunity to get different offers. For instance, with Amex, if they targeted you for 15k and you leave the site and come back, you’re gonna get another 15k offer with a normal browser. However, when you go Incognito or Private…you have the opportunity to be re-targeted as a new visitor and maybe get a different offer, like 30k.

How to open an Incognito or private window?

Main Cast:

Cards that earn flexible points and should be used on the bulk of your purchases.

Supporting Cast:

Cards that earn fixed points in the currency of the airline/hotel and can not be transferred at attractive rates. These cards yield benefits that make it worth keeping, but not necessarily worth putting a lot of your everyday spend on.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® is exceptional starter card and offers transferrable Ultimate Rewards, and pairs well with other Chase cards.

If you carry this card alongside Chase’s cashback cards like the Chase Freedom Flex®  and Chase Freedom Unlimited® or the business versions: Ink Business Cash® , Ink Business Unlimited® you can combine the points into Preferred account and transfer into hotel and airline partners

Never seems to work for me. I’ve been waiting to get one of the everyday cards and can’t seem to get an offer.

  • Johnny January 23, 2017

If I have the everyday card before, can I still qualify for the everyday preferred bonus?

    Thank you

    • Miles January 23, 2017

Hey Johnny – Great question and thanks for reading! Amex only limits the sign up bonus to once in a lifetime to those who have the product before, since Everyday and Everyday Preferred are different products you should qualify for the sign up bonus.

That does not work. I used both safari and chrome. I am in the United States.

    • Miles January 23, 2017

Lee – you may have to rinse and repeat. still works for me

      • Lee January 23, 2017

Thank you for the news! Turns out I did not have to do incognito thing and I just did on my regular Safari on my macbook. Boom! 25,000 Amex points for Amex everyday no annual fee (usual offer is only 10k). I have been wanting to get that one to transfer my amex membership rewards to it from my platinum so that i can cancel my platinum later down the road without losing my amex points that can transfer to frequent flyers 😉
