I wrote an in depth hack on how to hit Hyatt’s top tier Globalist status in just 9 or 10 nights in early December 2020, and it wasn’t a theoretical post.  I was actually amidst my own mattress run, and it has certainly paid off… I just checked my account, and voila, I have surpassed the reduced, 30 night threshold, and hit Hyatt Globalist Status for this year, which doesn’t expire until 2/28/2023.  The craziest thing is that my account shows 31 nights stayed this year.  It’s just the 9th of January!

My Club Access Awards have already hit too!

I haven’t seen my free category 4 night populate yet, but I’m sure I’ll hit it soon.

How did I do it?

First off you have to remember that Hyatt Status requirement shave been slashed in half.

Hyatt currently is running a double elite night promo. Until the end of February you’ll earn 2 elite nights for every night you stay.

But… in 2020, you could earn one elite night for 2020 and one elite night in 2021. During that promo period I stayed 18 total nights. This meant I was starting out the year with 18 elite nights.

I also signed up for the World of Hyatt credit card from Chase. When I applied and was approved the offer included 10 elite nights for 2020 and an additional 10 elite nights for 2021.

That boosted my total to 28 elite nights.

I just finished a 3 night stay at a cheap Hyatt Place which only cost 72/night and I was targeted for a 10% Chase offer, bringing it down to just $65/night. It was a quick trip I needed to do for my upcoming 2021 move.

I couldn’t be more excited to put top tier status to work

I’m hoping to be taking a honeymoon later this year or next year if Covid hasn’t sorted itself out. This status alongside Hilton Diamond earned from the Aspire will undoubtedly come in very, very handy.

    Miles,

Airlines are banning support animals. Has this affected you?

If you could live at the Vienna Park Hyatt would you? I would.

    Sincerely,

    The Arts Traveler

Great questions – unless airlines ban emotional support humans…I’m good go 😉 And yes…I could live at the PH Vienna forever and a day 🙂

Any idea how long until qualifying nights are posted? I just stayed four nights at a Hyatt property. Two days after checking out, my Hyatt account shows those four qualifying nights – but shouldn’t it be showing eight qualifying nights? (Yes, I’ve registered.) Thanks

Hey there – yep, they’re posting every 2 weeks so keep an eye out
