ICYMI: Book Iberia awards on AA.com

In case you missed it, you can now search, find, and book tickets on Iberia airlines using AA.com. This a good and bad thing. It’s great that there is a far easier, more seamless way to book a solid product across the atlantic. It’s a bad thing because Iberia awards have always been bookable with American Aadvantage miles, but it required a little more in depth, circuitous planning to find the space. See, used to, you’d have to search on Iberia itself, or use the British Airways website, and plug in individual dates. It was annoying and time consuming, but could be fruitful because people didn’t want to do something that was annoying and time consuming. Now, you can search large swaths of dates by using AA.com.

Here’s a peek at Iberia’s Biz product, courtesy of their Facebook page.

I haven’t flown it, but it looks very similar to Etihad’s Pearl business class ( not the business studio.) which I have flown and think is dependent on the seat you choose. Some quite private, others not.

Iberia flies to 5 spots in the U.S.

  1. Boston
  2. Chicago
  3. LA
  4. Miami
  5. New York

I’m sorry to see this change.Iberia has been one of the few carriers to always have availability in business class to Europe from Miami. With more people now able to book this, the availability is sure to dry up over time.
