Make sure you activate your 10 free Gogo Passes with Amex Biz Plat

A lot of people have signed up for the Amex Biz Plat and it’s incredible 100k sign up bonus. The card has a lot of great benefits, but one of my favorite is in-flight free wifi. HOW? They give you 10 free Gogo flight passes. Make sure you sign up and get your passes credited to your account. The cost of Wifi in-flight is ridiculous, and if you’re like me, you want to get some work or play done while cruising at 35k feet. SO make sure you activate your 10 free Gogo passes with Amex Biz Plat so you can surf the net at 35k feet.

Once you’re confirmed…go to Gogo and log in: You should see in the bottom left hand-side your passes.

I have only 9 left because I used one of them.

And in flight it will look like this once you have logged in:

A couple things to keep in mind:

  1. This is for GOGO so if you’re on an internationally equipped plane…they’re a NOGO.
  2. These passes work per flight segment. Don’t use them on LAX-LAS unless you aren’t going to have use for them later in the year. The best use of them is on transcon flights where wifi can run you $40+ for the flight.
  3. This perk is exclusive to Amex Biz Plat.

I’d say this perk alone is worth $200+ to me. The card has so much value!

Cards that earn flexible points and should be used on the bulk of your purchases.

Cards that earn fixed points in the currency of the airline/hotel and can not be transferred at attractive rates. These cards yield benefits that make it worth keeping, but not necessarily worth putting a lot of your everyday spend on.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® is exceptional starter card and offers transferrable Ultimate Rewards, and pairs well with other Chase cards.
