Emails are being sent out showing comped status based on ownership level
One of the many great benefits of owning with Marriott Vacation Club is the complimentary status that is given to owners at varying levels. My family first purchased timeshares with Marriott in the 80s and have gotten extraordinary value, not just out of the physical units themselves, but more recently out of using the Vacation Club Points to stay in fine Marriott branded hotels all over the world with top tier Marriott Rewards status. (I’m going to write a separate post highlighting some incredible award sweet spots, but that’s for another day – but here’s one for starters).
How do we get top tier status in Marriott and SPG?
Since we started owning long ago, we have a few weeks in prime locations, and carry 2nd to top tier status within Marriott Vacation Club. This grants us Marriott Platinum status which also gives us Starwood Platinum ( we can also use it to match into United’s Silver status as well.) We’re looking to take a family trip later in 2018 and through Marriott Vacation Club ownership we’ll be able to leverage points to stay in some of the finest Starwood properties with free breakfast, potential upgrades, etc, etc.
If you’re unsure about what benefits you should be getting with Marriott timeshare…check this chart.
