You can check out the tweet below from the White House assistant Press Sec, but the CDC will announce today that you’ll no longer have to test to get back into the US starting at midnight Sunday, June 12th.
They will reassess in 90 days. If you thought award space was hard to find and tickets were expensive…get ready for things to get worse. Odds are this will ramp up demand even in the face of inflation. Personally, I think this is long overdue and the most recent restriction of having a negative test within a day of travel made it super hard on US travelers looking to come back home. This puts the US under similar restrictions as most of Europe and even Singapore which doesn’t require pre-testing.
US will end Covid-19 testing requirement for air travelers entering the country
@CDCgov will evaluate its need based on the science and in context of circulating variants
@POTUS work on effective vaccines and treatments critical to this https://t.co/cpdlNfRHbt
