Review: Admiral’s Club Dallas DFW Terminal A – There’s a treadmill!

I was recently in DFW Terminal A at the Admiral’s club ( Thanks Citi Prestige ) and was moseying around when I had a minor flip out. I didn’t realize that the Admiral’s Club in Dallas that is across from gate A23 was the infamous treadmill lounge. I was with a couple of other people and had taken pics of the entire lounge ( it’s YUUUUUUUGE) and was heading out when I stumbled upon the secret area. “OH, SHUT UP! This is it. THIS IS IT!” My friends,  “What, what is it?” ” GUYS, This is the Admiral’s club with a “gym.” OHHHHH a gym! They were intrigued…and then quickly couldn’t believe my level of excitement after seeing the gym…honestly, my excitement was winner winner chicken dinner level, and the gym is awful. But that’s why it’s so amazing. Who puts a 1980s hotel gym in an airport lounge?! It’s like a shag carpet wall, or the angry cat. You want to see it, photo it, and then meme it. But anyways…here’s my review of the Admiral’s Club Dallas DFW Terminal A – There’s a treadmill.

Where do you enter? Gate A23

You’ll check in on the ground floor…and then head on up!

I’ve gotten pretty good at whipping out my Citi Prestige. It’s gonna be a sad day next year when they strip the benny. UGH…I love club access. Good thing I’m enjoying it while I have it! YEEHAW ( That’s a Texan BYAW)

The lounge is massive. There are plenty of places to hang.

Turn right and you’ll see a lot of hang areas. Children’s room, large areas with tables, and some of the dining areas.

You can even find a quiet area. Miles couldn’t handle it. Too zen for him.

We found a spot just past the quiet room. Had a mini food display and some tvs.

The bar. And some more food options

Grab your food and kick it it in front of a game.

If you want to do some work…there’s some space for it.

Ugh work. At least Rihanna made it fun to sing about it.

And then the holy grail…the work out room ( an old Flagship lounge) It’s so busy you’ll hear crickets and battle tumbleweed.

I can’t imagine many people use this feature. But I love that they have it…

And the rest of the small lounge

It seems like I shouldn’t be able to go in here. In fact no one was in there and I felt like I was in a spy movie. In fact… I felt like Catherine Zeta-Jones in Entrapment but with tighter pants and more arch in my back – don’t judge me!

Overall: LOVED SEEING THE TREADMILL LOUNGE

The Admiral’s Club Dallas DFW Terminal A is a very nice lounge. HUGE! Plenty of spots to sit, even with a lot of traffic, there was still ample space. But more than anything else, the thing that tickled all the right spots and made Miles wiggle his ears was…The work out area.  It’s like a sweater that is so dreadfully awful that it become cool and amazing. If for some reason you find yourself at DFW and wanting to run…they got you. Other than that, the food options are typical AA Admiral’s club – Hummus, some soup, crackers, etc. You can buy options, but it’s not the Centurion lounge.

the showers are great but that treadmill is broken 95% of the time. I can’t quite make out the sign in your picture but i’m assuming it is “out of service.” I’d love for them to replace it with one manufactured in the last 20 years.

I visit this lounge a lot. It’s good but the menu food isn’t so good. They’ve kept the gym but took out the smoking room earlier this year. It was the last place inside security at DFW to smoke so many extra folks clog the TSA lines now 🙂

And the best thing in this lounge are the shower rooms.
I lost count of how many times I went to this club specifically to take a nice shower over the D one. 🙂
