A universal search engine for point redemptions…how bout that?! Point.me is a reiteration of the Juicy Miles award search tool with a lot of improvements. I’m pretty impressed at what they’ve been able to accomplish and it makes searching for award inventory a whole lot easier. They effectively offer two services: use a Expedia like award searching tool or have them book everything for you.

The pricing can be broken down by this chart, but the key services are as follows:

  • Use their search tool
    • $5 for a 24 hour pass ( free with code ZACH )
    • $12 a month for unlimited searches or $129 if paid by the year
  • Give them your points, have them do everything
    • $200 per passenger for them to book your trip

Integrate Award Wallet

A very cool feature that is included is embedding Award Wallet which tracks all of your points.

Programs that are included

It’s pretty all encompassing as most loyalty programs are a part of their search with the exception of BILT

And as far as transfer partners the only notable exceptions are ANA and Emirates

A sample search – showing loads of booking options

I did a quick search to London in a few weeks and chose to see options priced Low to High. You can also choose point.me picks which would show you which options they love most.

My search:

A couple of the options…

An overview of all the options where you can see the Point.me picks and other options. I think they’re still working out some of the kinks here since the Turkish booked Lufthansa flights are just 5k points than booking via Avianca Lifemiles. But… how awesome is it that it includes the 20% transfer bonus currently running on Cap1 to Avianca. Pretty sweet deal.

You can get a free day pass using the code “ZACH”

You can give this service a try for 24 hours free of charge. Point.me have been lovely enough to extend an offer to our readers. This link will expire on March 11th, so act quick if you’d like to give it a go!

Overall

As someone who is pretty proficient in award searches I was surprised at how thorough the search is and I’d totally pay the $129 a year for the service. The amount of savings Point.me could ultimately provide you is pretty incredible if you take a trip every year and is a great step in helping users get added value from their points.

Main Cast:

Cards that earn flexible points and should be used on the bulk of your purchases.

Supporting Cast:

Cards that earn fixed points in the currency of the airline/hotel and can not be transferred at attractive rates. These cards yield benefits that make it worth keeping, but not necessarily worth putting a lot of your everyday spend on.
