Hyatt gutted Points + Cash late last year when they changed the cash portion of the rate from a fixed chart ( which was very attractive ) to one that required 50% the rack rate.  This changed my strategy to one where I’d often look to redeem with cash + points, to one where I’m looking to redeem with full points. I also now look at point sales where I can shore up my account to offset this change which often means buying points at cheaper than what the cash portion would be for targeted redemptions. They’re currently on sale with a 40% bonus, or just 1.7 cents per point.

Hyatt is running a new promotion that provides reduced rates, by up to 25%, on a nice selection of hotels around the world. You can do it via two ways – offer runs between now and November 30th, 2019
