Brown County is quite the jewel of Southern Indiana
I’m a Hoosier, and have grown quite used to people assuming that Indiana is flat, boring, and full of farmland. BOOOOOOOO, HISSSSSSSS. I actually find farmland to be quite beautiful in its own right, but most people seeking Scenic Drives and destinations want something more picturesque. ENTER, BROWN COUNTY. It’s full of art fares, wineries, restaurants, biking, hiking, and cruising some twisty, turny roads with drop dead vistas. So how can you visit this gorgeous area of southern Indiana and stay for $35 a night? Enter IHG PointBreaks – whereby you can stay in hotels for just 5000 points per night.

It would set you back $164.64.
You can book with cash + points and it would set you back 10,000 points + $94 with free cancellation ( this is important). Here’s the thing – when you cancel the booking you’ll get your $94 back, but the 10k points will be deposited in your account and you’ll get charged $70. Hence, $35 per 5k points, and this is EXACTLY what you need per night to stay there.
You could also buy IHG points when they go on sale. They’ve dipped below $0.006 per point. That’d make this hotel under $30 a night!!
If you carry an IHG Credit Card from Chase, you’d received 10% back. That means you could snag this hotel for just 4500 points, or $31.50 buying points through a booking.
