The A380 might be too quiet for me & few BA Club World pix

I just had my first A380 experience. I just flew on BA’s A380 in club world and I think I got about 90 minutes of sleep. Why? Because the plane is so flipping quiet that all I could hear were other people snoring, lol. Usually, when I’m at home I sleep with a fan on. I love the white noise, and that is PERFECT on an airplane because the humming is normally so soothing to me. BUT THIS BIG BIRD was so quiet, and there was a caucaphony of sleep apnea victims that I think the A380 might be too quiet for me. I know…real problems.

I’m flying Lufthansa’s A380 back to the states so we shall see if I have a similar experience as I’ll be on the window. I know…this is probably music to most people’s ears…but my ears need white noise. But, man! This plane is QUIET and SMOOTH.

  • […] I’m not a huge fan of the A380. I’d say I’m unique in this position – see, I like airplane noise. I sleep with a fan, and the A380 is UBER QUIET. It’s a beast of a plane, beautiful, spacious, but too quiet for me. If you don’t like ambient white noise…you’d love it. […]

hahaha – sounds like my flight on BA. It was like a snoring symphony

Funny, I feel exactly the same about the 380. Its a great airplane in every sense, but I am also a big fan of white noise (even at home) and its just distressing that you can hear everything on the top deck of the 380 – from people snoring and chatting to the flush on the toilets. Phones and earplugs to the rescue!
