It’s been two months since I used the Citi Prestige 4th Night free perk at the Caledonian in Edinburgh, Scotland and the credit has still not appeared on a statement. Last night I logged into my account to see if it had appeared on my recent activity and it still hadn’t. I attempted to use the chat function to resolve the issue, but alas, I needed to call in to get more details. Here’s what you need to get a status update on your Citi Prestige 4th night free refund.

saved $220 on the Caledonian!

I was referred to the Citi Concierge, which is provided by Aspire Lifestyles.

She was extremely pleasant and did a quick check on my account. What expedited the phone call was my Case ID.

Everything revolves around the Case ID.

This can be found in the subject line of the email sent to you by Citi’s concierge after you’ve made your reservation.

Once that was located she could find my refund in the queue.

She said it typically takes 6-8 weeks from the time of departure, but anticipated the refund being processed in the next 7 days.

It’s worth noting that the 6-8 week clock starts after you depart the hotel, not from when you make the booking.

Similar thing just happened to me. I departed the Hyatt Churcill London on Sept 13. I called and Citi was unhelpful. Citi is very up and down. They need to improve if they expect to keep card members once AA club access goes away
