I was in China last weekend on a #weekendwarrior trip through Shanghai and Hong Kong.  I was still working on some client’s award bookings while over there, and once I got back into the States some of the websites I visited didn’t autocorrect back to US websites. Usually, unless you’re working off a VPN, the website locations will reset to the closest server your computer is pinging off. In my case, it was somewhere in China, and it got stuck. I found a very helpful post on Flyertalk user (rjw242) that helped me navigate through resetting my aa.com origin country, and thought I’d lay out the step by step guide if you’re in a similar situation.

Cards that earn flexible points and should be used on the bulk of your purchases.

Me too! I had to get used to picking “Vereinigte Staaten” in their dropdown every time I visited.
