Triggering an Amex Offer is a great way to “earn back” your annual fee on purchases you’d make anyways. This one in particular is targeting Virgin Atlantic, specifically those who are booking more than $2000+ worth of tickets. You could trigger this on a single flight, or I’d guess if you’re booking multiple tickets, the charge will still trigger the offer which means, if you’re leaving from the US and booking a couple of Upper Class tickets, the taxes and fees very well may total more than $1800 and you’d earn the $300 ( not guaranteed tho ).
I currently hold 11 Amex Cards so I see a lot of Amex Offers across them
- The Platinum Card® from American Express
- American Express® Gold Card
- 3x The Business Platinum Card® from American Express
- 3x American Express® Business Gold Card
- Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card
Amex Offers: Virgin Atlantic Spend $2000+ get $300 or 30k
- Spend $2000 or more get $300 or 30k Membership Rewards
- Charge must hit by 12/31/24
- Must originate in the US
- Nothing stipulates that taxes and fees wouldn’t count
- This isn’t firm, but in the past on other airlines this works
