American Express has a great list of transfer partners, and they’re currently offering transfer bonuses on a number of partners. Granted, these are targeted, so not every account will have this attached to their account, but my goodness, booking a trip during a transfer bonuses is icing on top of icing on the cake. That’s a thing, right?

Here are the 5 American Express Cards that I keep and links to their current offers, why we have them in our wallet, and recommend your consideration. Transfer bonuses are an incredible time to make move on booking a trip, but also remember that you can earn referral bonuses  on each and every card ( go here  ). It’s how we earn over 500k points a year without spending a dime.

Aeroplan – 20% transfer bonus

There are quite a few of these offers currently available, but I don’t think any of them excite me quite like Aeroplan. Why? You can fly one way from the States to Europe in business and first for 55k and 70k points, respectively. That is absolutely incredible. What’s even better than that? Amex is offering a 20% transfer bonus to Aeroplan for a limited time.

You can fly Lufthansa First Class for just 70k Aeroplan miles or 59k points with this offer. That is mindbendingly attractive.

Hawaiian Airlines 25% transfer bonus

I believe this one is targeted as well, but pretty attractive nonetheless. With roundtrip, lie flat, first class awards starting at 80k…that’s one cushy way to start off your vacay in hawaii-ay. Sorry I tried.

Marriott offering a 30% bonus until October 7th.

I really wouldn’t advise this transfer even with a 30% bonus, but in the circumstance where you’re really close to a buy 4 nights, get the 5th free it could make sense. Otherwise…in my opinion, it’s a much more valuable transfer to airlines in premium cabins.

British Airways, Aer Lingus, and Iberia 40% transfer bonus until October 1st. Today is the last day!

All of these are currently offering a 40% transfer bonus which is truly incredible when you think I booked a roundtrip ticket on Iberia from Chicago to Madrid for just 68k points. That’s just 49k roundtrip with this promotion. WOW

15% transfer bonus to Avianca Lifemiles starting October 1st

This one runs through the whole of October and is very attractive. Especially when Avianca is already discounting business and first class flights to Asia on select routes by 15%. Business is down to 64k which means that you’d only need 56k to fly on the likes of EVA Airways for a super duper fantastic rate.
